International Committee VolunteerVolunteer International Committee - Job Description Purpose: The International Committee is a team of volunteers who offer advice and feed back to staff on programs and services for International Development. The purpose of this committee is also to assist the staff in communicating to the membership and the community the importance of the role of international development in the YMCA. Competencies: To appreciate and support the YMCA values, mission and vision. To demonstrate energy, dedication and enthusiasm. To appreciate and desire to generously serve all. To thrive in an atmosphere of change and ambiguity. To work as a member of a team. To achieve planned results through personal initiative. To model commitment to service excellence and quality. Responsibilities: To provide advice and recommendations to staff on involvement in educational and financial support for international development, International Women’s Month, partnership with Trinidad and Tobago, Peace Week, etc. To support and assist with the YMCA’s international development plans. Requirements: Interest in international development. Interest in the YMCA. To volunteer their time and expertise to educational and financial support programs for international development within the YMCA. Time Commitment: Attendance at 4 - 5 meetings from September – June. Participation in activities planned by the committee.
