Volunteer International Committee - Job Description

Purpose: The International Committee is a team of volunteers who offer advice and feed back to staff on programs and services for International Development. The purpose of this committee is also to assist the staff in communicating to the membership and the community the importance of the role of international development in the YMCA.

Responsibilities: To provide advice and recommendations to staff on involvement in educational and financial support for international development, International Women’s Month, partnership with Trinidad and Tobago, Peace Week, etc. To support and assist with the YMCA’s international development plans.

Requirements: Interest in international development. Interest in the YMCA. To volunteer their time and expertise to educational and financial support programs for international development within the YMCA.

Time Commitment: Attendance at 4 - 5 meetings from September – June.
