Children/Youth Program Leader Children and Youth Program Leader – Volunteer Job Description
Purpose:
To provide assistance in leading children and youth games and activities in recreational
programs. Volunteers can help people grow in many ways that are consistent with the
YMCA's mission of building body, mind and spirit.

Responsibilities:
To assist participants to participate in recreational activities such as swimming, crafts
and games.
To be in YMCA dress code (volunteer t-shirt and black bottoms).
Qualifications:
Previous experience an asset but not required.
Training will be provided.
Patient and caring attitude.
Criminal Reference check
16 years of age or older
Training and support:
Volunteer orientation
Recognition events
Supervision and support from Co-ordinator
