Play Centre Babysitting

The Walker Family YMCA’s babysitting service allows YMCA adult members the opportunity to participate in programs with the assurance that their children are being cared for in a safe and secure environment.

Hours of Operation

Monday-Sunday
9:00am-12:00pm

Monday-Friday
1:00-3:00pm

Monday-Thursday
5:15-8:00pm

Fee for Service

Hourly fee per child - $2.00
Member only Monthly Pass - $30.00 per child

There is a 5 minute grace period after each hour. An additional hour will be charged after the grace period.

Parents are required to remain in the building at all times.

Children 6 Years and Older
Children over 6 years of age may use the Play Centre in the evenings and on Saturday/Sunday mornings. Space limitations do not allow us to provide additional care for school age children on school holidays such as PD Days. A special schedule will be developed for Christmas, March Break and school holidays.

Safety of Children
For your child's security, all children must be registered prior to or at the time of accessing this service. When you come to pick up your child, please ensure that your child is "signed out" by a YMCA staff member.

The YMCA is a shared space for everyone to enjoy. If your child has any kind of infection (cold/flu) or symptoms of, please refrain from bringing him/her to the Play Centre.

What to Bring
Parents should provide disposable diapers and a bottle with juice or water is suggested for children under 2 years. Please ensure that all personal articles are labelled with the child’s name.

We recommend parents do not bring personal toys to the Play Centre. The YMCA will provide a selection of toys, for a variety of ages, to be used while visiting.
