Building for the Future
Through strong vision and stewardship, the YMCA of Niagara has embarked on a significant capital development project that will serve generations of families within the Niagara community. This initiative will position our YMCA to serve close to 55,000 men, women and children in the Niagara region.
Based on solid market research and financial planning, our YMCA will be opening a new Niagara Centre YMCA serving Welland and Pelham, a new YMCA within the MacBain Community Centre in Niagara Falls and will renovate/expand the Walker Family YMCA in St. Catharines.
The YMCA believes that through partnerships, we can achieve more together. This belief is supported by our YMCA partners who have committed financial and human resources to achieving the YMCA's vision of serving the Niagara community. We are thankful for the involvement and support of the City of Welland, the Town of Pelham, Niagara College, the City of Niagara Falls, the Niagara Falls Public Library, and federal and provincial support through a SuperBuild grant.
The YMCA is committed to values-based programs, services and facilities that develop individuals spiritually, mentally and physically. These new and enhanced YMCA facilities will serve all ages and abilities, providing the best community services that meet today's standards. As with all YMCA services, we will continue to be open to everyone, providing financial assistance to low-income families who would otherwise not be able to afford to participate in the YMCA.
