Promoting family togetherness, fun and learning, many parents or grandparents with young children enjoy casual use of the Centre. Children often revisit their favourite exhibit and engage in casual play facilitated by parents and Centre staff. Birthday parties take on a special twist at the Centre. Exhibits:

Kiwanis Wetland Park
The wetland pond will be used primarily in the spring workshops. Children will explore both the plants and animals that live in and around the pond. They can identify creatures that have chosen the pond as their home such as fish, insects and frogs, as well as those creatures that may come to visit. Visitors can also explore the arboretum and the natural stream that runs through it.

TD Canada Trust Dinosaur Gallery
Visitors are encouraged to explore just as archeologists do and experience the excitement of our dinosaur digs, discover the wonders of the Ice Age with our giant Wooly Rhino or learn about the Dinosaur Era while investigating the fierce Albertosaurus or walking through the ribs of a Supersaurus.

Horizon Utilities Gallery
Learn about electrical safety, how a circuit works, the different sources of electrical power and much more in this informative and hands-on gallery. Check out the new exhibit - Power For Tomorrow. See the importance of electricity in your home, create your own power in our lighthouse or watch the sparks fly while you learn what not to do around electrical power.

Grantham Optimist Children's Theatre
Children can try on one of our many costumes, perform a play for family and friends or even play musical instruments.

John Deere Agricultural Gallery
The seed-to-table gallery gives young children hands-on experience in planting seeds.

The Craft Corner
Create a masterpiece, join one of our workshops or learn unique and inventive crafts. Different themes each month will make this area entertaining every time you visit the Centre.
